Biography

Nika Lubowicz comes from Zakopane (the town mostly known from Highland tradition and folklore) and she was growing up in a musical family. She obtained her first music degree from National Music School, named after Mieczysław Karłowicz, in Piano and Guitar performance. Then she studied in National High School of Music based in Rzeszow, where she received an undergraduate degree in Piano. She graduated from the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice in two departments: Choir Conducting and Piano. She also finished Jazz Voice Studies In Henryk Majewski Jazz School, In a Vocal Jazz department. On scene, she has been performing since her early childhood. Laureate of numerous national and international competitions. She works with many polish jazz musicians. Among them: Andrzej Jagodziński, Wojciech Pulcyn, Marcin Murawski, Marcin Ułanowski, Ryszard Borowski and also with such bands as Big Band „Akwarium” or Atom String Quartet. Nika uses her versatile education experience also as a teacher. Currently, she is working as a voice teacher in a TV Show ‘Twoja twarz brzmi znajomo’ (Polsat TV), as a voice and a piano teacher in Krzysztof Komeda Authorial Popular Music School in Warsaw and also she teaches at Vocal Department at Fryderyk Chopin National Music School in Warsaw. Moreover, she cooperates with Musical Theatre ‘ROMA’, where she sings in a performance titled “Mamma Mia”. Nika does not limit herself to one type of music, she is inspiring herself in every valuable music style.

  • Nagroda Główna – “Złota Tarka” oraz Nagroda Dyrektora Artystycznego Festiwalu, Iława (2010)
